The Doris Duke Foundation (DDF) is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals by providing grants that support various areas, including the performing arts, environmental conservation, medical research and child well-being. Additionally, the foundation is committed to preserving the cultural and environmental legacy of Doris Duke's properties. With a focus on these key pillars, the DDF operates five national grantmaking programs.
The Performing Arts Program supports contemporary dance, jazz, and theater artists, assisting them in creating and showcasing their work. The Medical Research Program strengthens clinical research initiatives to advance disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. The Environment Program fosters a thriving and resilient environment, promoting conservation and sustainable practices. The Child Well-being Program promotes the healthy development of children and protects them from abuse and neglect.
The foundation provides multi-year grants ranging from $100,000 to $1 million.
